Returns

If something isn't right, tell me first. Most problems — a finish issue, damage in transit, a size that doesn't work the way you expected — I can usually sort out faster and better than a return can.

Sending something back

Any piece can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, provided it's unused and in the condition it arrived. Boards that have been cut on, washed or oiled can't be returned, since they can't be sold on.

Gifts and the holidays

Anything bought between 1 November and 31 December has 60 days rather than 30. A board picked up at a craft market in early November shouldn't run out of return window before the person you bought it for has even opened it.

Who pays return shipping

Return shipping is yours, with one exception: if the piece arrived damaged or wasn't as described, I cover it. In that case I'll usually offer to repair it — but a full refund is always an option if you'd rather.

Commissioned and custom work

Custom pieces are made for one person and can't be resold, so they aren't returnable unless there's something wrong with the work itself. If you're commissioning something, I'd rather over-communicate beforehand than have you end up with a piece you don't want.

Refunds

Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 days of the piece arriving back with me. I issue it as soon as I've checked the piece over — most of that window is the card network, not me.

Before you buy

Questions about a species, a size, or how a piece will wear? Ask. I'd rather talk it through than have you guess — get in touch.
